  During my husband's first teaching position which was in Hawley, we rented a home from Dr. Herman Larson who was on sabbatical. It was located on a knoll just up from Solem Lutheran Church and we often looked out our front window and were blessed by the quiet, serene countryside with this charming house of God situated there. We enjoyed our year there and reluctantly left due to the Larsons' return.
